The concept:
We recently had to do a project in where I had to host a site for my company offsite. We searched and searched not knowing anything about Linux (as we are a Windows shop) and the problem was that all the sites that we found only had 10 sites in them. So after we finished looking at those 10 we had to extend our search and found a lot of hosting companies, but couldnt remember how it measured up. The data was not in one place! We actually found hosting companies that had a lot to offer, yet wasnt on any of the sites top 10. Unfortunately, it was too late and we had already signed up with a host to run the script that my company had bought. As we were struggling to add this script to this site and spent hours and hours installing and reinstalling, we found a forum for the script. After more hours of searching, I found out that the script that I had purchased had many extra steps to install on this particular host and that one person even had a problem with the host! Needless to say that information was enough for me to change hosting companies and we got our script up and running in no time after that. We realized that if there was a place where we could of searched for exactly what we wanted and had a place where professionals could have written down specific or had the ability to ask questions and get answers, it would save time! That is why we created HostingCompanySearch.com to give the user data that is easily searchable by up to 20 different criteria and view them side by side to make the correct decision for their hosting needs.
